  • LLMs are bad at picking up new API changes
    • Doesn't need quality of life APIs. SFC has natural advantage in this sense
    • Performance and correctness improvements benefit both human and AI
  • Vue's focus
    • Don't change what's working with API stability
    • Performance - Vapor: same API, better performance
    • Correctness - reactivity/alien-signals/language tools (what are alien signals?)
  • 3.6 - Vapor Mode
    • VDOM feature parity has been reached. Focus is on performance and stability

  • Reactivity
    • reactive-framework-test-suite is a test suite that verifies the behavior correctness in edge cases across different reactivity implementations. alien-signals is currently the only reactive system that passes every test

    • Fallthrough attributes checked

  • Vite 8
    • Rolldown is Rust-based built on top of OXC and has feature parity with esbuild and rollup.

  • Oxlint - eslint built-in rules test conformance
  • Oxfmt - now in beta and 100% prettier conformance
  • Look into Vite+. In Alpha. may replace all the config files.
  • Why does fast and unified matter in AI era
    • Loop is making decisions using AGENTS.md, skills, MCP, rules, and then it reaches for tools including guardrails (linters), normalization, validation
    • We want the last part to happen as early as possible
    • AI accelerates idea to implementation
  • VOID. - Vite-native deployment platform
    • Fullstack with auto infra provisioning
    • Built on cloudflare but cloudflare account not needed
    • Void is compatible with Nuxt, but Nuxt is not necessary as Void comes with file system routing
    • Island component - rendered as static on the server and shipped as markdown, not JavaScript
    • Revalidation - refreshes content for user
